Dr. James Sharp
Prior to becoming an Optometrist, Dr. James Sharp graduated from Oregon State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and again in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude. He previously worked as an Engineer for a small materials testing laboratory in Corvallis before returning to school to study Optometry.
Dr. Sharp graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2014 having been member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society all four years. While at Pacific University, he helped to shape the curriculum to better meet the needs of patients and students. He also participated in vision research as a Research Assistant at Pacific University's Vision Performance Institute. In 2014 he received both the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association’s Student of the Year award and the Beta Sigma Kappa Award for Exceptional Research. Dr. Sharp is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oregon Optometric Physician’s Association.
When Dr. Sharp isn’t seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and camping, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the amazing nature that Oregon has to offer.
Dr. Dale Rowe
Dr. Rowe is originally from Anaheim, California, and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1975. He received his doctorate of optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 1980 and moved back to Oregon later that year. He has been in private practice in Eugene and Junction City since October 1980. He is active in the Lion's Club, the Covered Bridge Society of Oregon, and serves as vice-president of the Junction City Historical Society, as well as the Budget Committee of Junction City. His hobbies include photography and Duck football.
Dr. Justin Heintz
Dr. Justin Heintz is originally from a small town in southwestern Montana. His interest in optometry began at a young age. After receiving his first pair of glasses at age five, Dr. Heintz proudly declared to his parents and optometrist that he would one day become and optometrist. Eventually, Dr. Heintz enrolled in Oregon State University's pre-optometry curriculum where he graduated cum laude in 2005. After completing his studies at OSU, Dr. Heintz graduated from the renowned Pacific University College of Optometry in 2009 as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. He was also recipient of the VSP scholarship award for demonstrating excellence in clinical skills.
During his time at Pacific, Dr. Heintz had the opportunity to go on rotations to several different clinics around the United States. While on his rotations, Dr. Heintz gained specialized training in the areas of infant and pediatric care, ocular disease and specialty contact lens fitting. Dr. Heintz has also had the opportunity to work with some of the top sports vision specialists in the world and has worked with college and high school athletic teams. Dr. Heintz is a member of the American Optometric Association and enjoys caring for patients of all ages.
When Dr. Heintz isn’t at the clinic, he loves spending time with his wife and two kids. Dr. Heintz is also an Eagle Scout, speaks fluent French and enjoys golf and spending time outdoors.
